I know this seems a bit random, but I have a buried love for statistics that pops its head up for air every so often. My performance in math during high school was abysmal -- except for one freakish, exemplary term in Probability & Statistics. Go figure.
Anyway, I came across this blog post this morning. At first, I thought the image you see here was a photograph of rising incense smoke, perhaps inverted, mirrored, and color retouched. However, when I clicked through and read the blog, I realized this was a graph of population data. Click here and see the whole post for yourself. I find this intersection of raw data and graceful visuals fascinating.

Tough Data on Laptop Rage
I'm working on an advertorial dealing with data encryption, and came across the following gem of a chart from a study by The Ponemon Institute. I would love to see that 13% "broken" out by Windows vs. Mac vs. Linux.
